What is a cookie?
A cookie is a text file that is sent from a web server (for example, the website) to the user's Internet browser program, which automatically stores it on the user's computer and automatically sends it back to the server each time access is made to the website. Each cookie contains different data, such as, for example, the name of the server from which it originates, a numeric identifier, etc. Cookies can remain on the system during the connection period (i.e., until the browser used for browsing the web is closed) or for longer periods and may contain a unique identifier code. By default, almost all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, every web browser allows the restriction and deletion of cookies. Remember, however, that disabling or deleting cookies may prevent the optimal use of certain areas of the website or jeopardize the use of services that require identity verification.
